A Lifeline for Sickle Cell Patients In times of crisis, even the smallest acts of kindness can make a world of difference. The Prince and Princess Charles Offokaja Foundation today 10th of February, 2024 provided crucial support to a patient in the midst of a sickle cell crisis by making funds available for the patient’s timely treatment.
Sickle cell disease is a genetic condition that can cause severe pain, fatigue, and complications that require urgent medical attention.
For many patients, the financial burden of treatment can be overwhelming, and this was the case.
Recognizing this, the Offokaja Foundation sent a cash transfer of 10k to the patient. Our volunteer also offered words of comfort and encouragement to the patient, and this seemed to lift the patient from a state of despair and despondency.
The Prince and Princess Charles Offokaja Foundation recently transferred ₦20,000.00 to cater for some people who had nothing to eat on that day.
For those living on the margins, even a single meal can make a world of difference. And to us, providing that nourishment to them on that day, was great.
This is one of our little ways of promoting the right to food and money to buy food. Join us to help people who might otherwise starve. There are many in Nigeria that need such at the moment.
Last week, we were alerted to the urgent situation of a patient, who unfortunately collapsed due to a severe medical condition and needed funds for urgent treatment.
Recognizing the immediate need for medical intervention, the The Prince and Princess Charles Offokaja Foundation swiftly transferred ₦200,000 to cover the necessary medical expenses.
We wish the patient a better health.
The Prince and Princess Charles Offokaja Foundation International recently stepped in to clear ₦60,000 in medical expenses for a patient who had just given birth but couldn’t afford to pay.
The payment confirmation document, as seen in the feature image of this post, serves as a testament to the foundation’s commitment to transparency and accountability in their charitable activities.
After the payment the joyous mother and her newborn baby proceeded to their home from the hospital.
By alleviating the financial burden of medical expenses, the foundation ensured that the new mother could focus on her recovery and the well-being of her baby.
